Looking for help going green? United Metro Energy now offers our biofuel products for wholesale distribution!
Biofuels are made from natural, renewable feedstocks which are then combined with traditional heating oil or diesel fuel. There are different “B” blends based upon the ratio of biofuel to oil. For example, a B5 biofuel is 5% feedstock and 95% traditional heating oil or diesel fuel. A B20 biofuel is 20% bio and 80% traditional heating oil or diesel fuel. Biofuels range from a B2 all the way up to B100. Ultimately, the higher the percentage of bio, the more efficient, greener, cleaner energy source you will be using to heat your home or fuel your engine.
In 2006, United Metro Energy became one of the first companies in the country to earn the coveted BQ-9000 Certified Marketer designation from The National Biodiesel Accreditation Program, due to its commitment to a rigorous adherence to quality production and high performance standards, United Metro Energy is dedicated to making clean heating and transportation fuel energy solutions available in order to keep our nation competitive and vibrant.
GreenHeat™, United Metro Energy’s custom blended bioheat, helps home heating systems run cleaner and more efficiently, all while reducing maintenance costs. Not only is United Metro Energy’s GreenHeat™ good for the environment, but it can also extend the life of heating systems. Burning cleaner fuel improves our air quality by significantly reducing carbon dioxide, sulfur, and particulate matter, while making buildings cleaner and more efficient. Also, for residential use, there is potential to save with big tax credits when you use biofuels.
When mixed with petroleum based fuels, United Metro Energy’s enhanced, custom blended biodiesel, BioMax™, results in a cleaner burning fuel, which can be used in most engine systems. Many fleet managers have determined biodiesel is their least-cost-strategy to comply with state and federal regulations. The following automakers and engine manufacturers are just some of the world-renowned companies who support biodiesel:
All of the trucks in United Metro Energy’s fleet run on our B20 Biomax™ for eight months, and B5 Biomax™ for four months in the winter. All told, United Metro Energy helps saves 750,000 pounds of carbon reduction for the year.
